These pottery shards are from Southport Beach. I seem to always find the same bits of blue and green plate. I don't know how old they are but the edges are raised where the glaze is.
These bits were found at Langstone Harbour. Mainly newer pieces of pottery with the stripes and some older light blue patterened shards.
However the best thing I have ever found in 25 years of collecting has to be this little headless man. I found him buried up to his shoulders and I couldn't get over him. His head and feet have sadly been lost and I am unsure as to who he is or what he is made of but he is lovely and has pride of place on my shelf. I think he might be made of marble. Any ideas on who he is please let me know as he is my new best.
Such a lovely jacket.
